My Memories scrapbooking software Review and giveaway

I was able to try this really easy to use software through A My Memories blog campaign and was so happy I was picked to do a review and giveaway for it.

MyMemories
suite is digital scrap-booking software that is easily downloaded to your computer so you can create really wonderful Scrapbooks, Photo books, albums and all kinds of really beautiful things.

What I found out while using this software, is that its really just so easy to use and in a few minutes I had created a very nice short photo book to share with friends and family.

Here are some of the things you can do with this software and Ill be showing you some pictures of what I did with it.

The first thing it will ask you is do you want to create a project from a template or do your own. I chose template so I could get an Idea of what kinds were available to me.

I was very Impressed with the amount of different templates, backgrounds,colors and designs that were available in the software. Their are all kinds of different frames to put your photos in and what I love about it is you can put several pictures on a page and its all done for you, no cropping and sizing unless you want to.

All you do, is select a photo from your computer and its dropped on the work station page, you than click it and drop it into the photo box frame you want it to be in and its instantly there! I chose regular squares and rectangles but you can do hearts, and scalloped edged boxes as well with shading.

You also have the choice of many shapes to attach to the photo. For instance I could have put a flower on the picture of my deer so it would look like it was wearing a pretty flower on its neck.

you can have different frames, background colors, themes ,and even insert flower boxes, shapes and other things along with text for Journal or captioning. Everything is available to you in the program and you can always find other designes and things on the My Memories wesite. Since pictures say a thousand words here is one page I made for my dog Asia in a picture journal template. you will notice you can add many pictures and captions all on one page that than saves as a Jpeg or other file so when you upload it its one picture with many pictures in it . I know the upload had to me smaller than the actual photo page but you get the Idea

I think this is just so cool because, I have several pictures of Asia on the Jpeg with the caption included. This would make it so easy for my gather friends to put together a album for lets say flowers and nature. Instead of uploading one picture at a time you have all the roses on one page all the wild flowers on another page etc.

you can than decide if you want to upload it to the web, on your social networking or maybe print out a photo book hard copy. On The MyMemories
website you can have your photo book professionally done in a binding and than have it mailed to you at a very reasonable cost, or just print it yourself. Crafters can make all kinds of things with this software and its even very good for creating blog art and banners.

there is no limit to how much you can do with this awesome software and I am having so much fun with it. here is another page from my photo book I did for the wild life in my area of Florida.

Now I know all of you have tons of photos you could use to create something beautiful and I am able to give away to one person the same software I got in a blog giveaway. book review By Love Redeemed (The Chastelayne Trilogy)

There are so many thing to love about this trilogy and one of them is that the story continues with other members of the Chastelayne Family .

In this story we get to learn more about Tom. Tom was Married to Elizabeth but they have been separated from each other since. The problems with the realm and war has kept Tom away from his wife and he so longs to be with her . Elizabeth on the other had considers Tom a virtual stranger and has no real love for him just a bitterness because of the separation.

Elizabeth is easily turn to a friend who will cause Tom and her a lot of pain and suffering.

This book is about forgiveness and the healing power of love and devotion. Tom is so steadfast and faithful in his devotion to Christ that he is able to forgive and still love truly.

This book is filled with emotion and heartache and woven through it is the message that forgiveness and Love are always the best choice no matter the circumstances. Tom is the loving hero in this story and its his devotion to the Lord and his love for his wife that makes if possible for his to forgive what others could not especially in this time period.

It also show that with this faithful love and devotion Elizabeth will come to realize the transforming power of Christ , his forgiveness and grace. This is a story of second chances in the face of betrayal in a time when such things were not tolerated well. I loved, Loved, this story its as good as the first book in this trilogy and a must read for Christians and non Christians alike and Medieval romance at its finest!

book review In Honor Bound (The Chastelayne Trilogy)

I have read this whole wonderful trilogy. I really loved every book, the whole era and atmosphere are just what Im looking for in a medieval story.

This first book In Honor Bound (The Chastelayne Trilogy) has the ability to really make you feel that you are experiencing era.

Rosalynde young woman has been promised to prince Phillip. Rosalynde has lead a sheltered Faithful Christian life . She has great faith and hopes to be a good bride to her husband. Long ago she had meet him when he was a boy and its that boy she remembers fondly. Filled with joy she marries Phillip, only to find he has turned bitter and harsh, because of a passed love that his father the king had destroyed. Phillip was in love with a serving girl and because of her Low birth the king had charges brought agents her. Phillip Tells Rosalynde that he will never love her and he has no real desire to be with her, his heart belongs to another.

That's about all of the story I want to give away. This is a fantastic Christian fiction story of a woman's faith and strength in conquering seemingly insurmountable obstacle's with the help of the lord. Rosalynde must face many challenges and develop her faith and grow in wisdom. She must endure the unendurable and face her husbands many moods before her dreams can be realized.

This Trilogy is not only inspirational but wonderfully entertaining and interesting. You really get an idea of what it was like to live in medieval times, in tragedy and triumph and how the faith of one woman can change the direction of an entire kingdom .

I recommend this book highly not only for the Christian reader but for anyone who likes medieval romance

1 1/2 cups frozen peas and carrots

1 cup cubed (1/2 inch) cooked chicken or turkey

1 cup refrigerated cooked diced potatoes with onions (from 20-oz bag)

1/4 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves

1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup

1 can (4 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

1 egg

1 tablespoon water

1/8 teaspoon dried thyme leaves

Heat oven to 400°F. In 2-quart saucepan, mix peas and carrots, chicken, potatoes, milk, 1/2 teaspoon thyme and the soup. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Divide mixture evenly among 4 ungreased 10-oz custard cups. 2 Unroll dough; separate into 4 triangles. Place 1 dough triangle over each custard cup. 3 In small bowl, mix egg and water. Brush mixture over dough. Sprinkle 1/8 teaspoon thyme over dough. Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until crusts are golden brown.

After the Snow Falls By Carey Jane Clark Review

I just finished reading after the Snow Falls By Carey Jane Clark and thought it was an exceptional book. I did need a lot of tissues though because its often very sad but it can also be very uplifting. In this story we meet Celia Bennet, A typical soccer mom who is busy being the best mom she can be. Ceila has no use for her father who abandoned her when she was little and is rather upset that he is back in her moms life. Celia's life is turned upside down when her son is diagnosed with cancer after a soccer game where he collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.

The diagnosis makes Celia concerned about conventional medicine and she tries to pursue an alternative medical clinic in Mexico, but her hopes are dashed so she heads back to the USA in defeat. Throughout her sons illness, she tries to be strong and help him face the different treatments and problems that develop. Celia has no faith in God believing he has let her down. She is very surprised when her son develops a strong faith starts to read the Bible and all about the healing miracles of Jesus. I do not want to give away any more of the story because It a journey you would like to read for yourself.

After the Snow Falls has many levels . Their are the problems with Celia's estranged father who has promised he has changed . The tremendous faith of a small boy who is sure Jesus will heal him and desperation of mother who needs the Lord in her life so she is finely able to forgive the unforgivable.

After the Snow Falls shows us that forgiveness is a choice and that faith can move mountains, that the faith of a child is the strongest of all and that Gods Strength is made perfect in weakness. I would recomend this books to anyone, especially one who has went through a serious illness or knows someone who is going through it . Thanks for reading my review

Whats in a name how my dog got her Name

My Dog Asia is my own little baby and we love her so much. A lot of people ask me why we choose to name her Asia. After all, Asia is a place, why name out Dog after a place.

First let me tell you a bit about Asia. One day we were at the huge flea market buying produce and looking around and we see this cage filled with puppies. The person was selling their litter of Puppies that were Golden Chows. Golden Chows are A mix between a Golden retriever and a Chow Chow. This is not a recognized AKC bread but the puppies are just so adorable, like fuzzy balls of fluff. Asia looked at us with those expressive eyes and we just had to buy her for our own.

After doing some research on Chows and learning that they were protectors of the royal family in China we decided to call her Asia because even as a puppy she had the spunk and temperament to be an awesome protector. We also decided to call her Asia because she has these expressive beautiful eyes and she made me think of an Asian princess. She caries herself like royalty and is diligent in her role as out protector.

Asia takes after her Chow Chow bloodline way more that the retriever side she is loving yet protective, she guards my husband like he is the most important treasure on earth.

Asia is such a loving dog and is a constant companion and joy to my Husband who has been battling a lingering illness this year.

That's how my Dog Asia got her name, Asia is now 6 years old and continues to be our pride and Joy. She is expressive in her love for us and is still spunky and full of fun. She does such funny things and is so smart it continues to amaze us Thanks for reading how my dog got her name

Goal for it website review what a Fantastic idea

Wow! I just discovered the website called Goalforit. This is an Fantastic tool to use for so many different things. I have so many ideas about how this awesome site can help me and my family and friends reach the goals they set for themselves and their kids.

Each chart is completely customizable and you can set it for different themes. You can also totally customize the goals for a daily basis and it turns a list of chores into a workable, fun, interactive log to track progress and earn rewards. This would be so much fun for kids to do, all you have to do is set one up with the different chores you want your kids or teens to accomplish daily.

You can put anything in the chart you want from making the bed to walking the dog. This is whats totally different - Each time your Child completes a task they can go online to check the box that they did it (or if you print them off they can do this off line too)

The nice thing about doing this online is you have the ability to incorporate a point value for rewards for each task thats done. Than once they have enough points in their bank your kids are able to pick a reward you set to spend the points on. You do not have to set up a reward bank for the tasks but I think it would be a really fun idea because it will allow kids to earn their allowance and see the progress they are making toward something they want such as Itunes gift card or something.It also teaches them about saving points and cashing out of point to get the earned reward !

The best thing about this is its totally free to use!

I also discovered you can do a lot more on goalforit than just chore lists, you can set one up for yourself too so you can track your progress on any kind of goals you set for yourself. Some great ideas would be for weight loss,eating right ,exercise, recycling practices and more the list is really endless and you can keep track of how well you are doing at a glance with the progress tab. Lets say you want to start a healthy lifestyle this year. just set up your chose list to include the tasks exercise for 15 mins

take vitamins

eat 3 servings of vegetables

eat under 2000 calories each day

drink 8 glasses of water

than for each day you manage to do each task you would check that it was done and keep track of your progress in a really fun way.

Children's Claritin allergy relief for the Kiddos

I was able to try Children's claritin recently for my 4 grand kids who have problems with seasonal allergies especially in the spring and the fall. I think this is a superior product for treating allergies in small kids because its does not make the feel tired or sleepy.

The problem with a lot of allergy medications are the sleepy side effects. What good is it to treat an allergy so kids can go out in the day and play if they are to sleepy to concentrate or have any kind of desire to run around in the outdoors. With all that many different allergy medications available for over the counter use these days, you can become overwhelmed as to which is the better product. The very same stuff I use to use when my son was small is still available, and because of the name its what some moms might go for,but its not the better product. Claritin may be a bit more expensive than the older brands but it will provide your child with strong symptom relief and keep them active and able to concentrate. As with all medications, you need to talk to your pediatrician before giving it to the Kiddos. make sure your doctor knows what you want to accomplish with the claritin to be sure its right for you. Here is the main page for the free Kindle books , this one lists the top 100 BUT their are many more . I had gotten some exceptional Christian Non Fiction books a while ago from amazon That I would recomend to any one . The Titles are a bit weird but gosh the wisdom you can get out of these is spectacular . so here are those 2 first.

Purex Crystals and Jockey review and giveaway

Everyone Knows how much I love Purex crystals. If you have not had a chance to try these yet you should give them a try because they really go a long way to keeping your laundry fresh smelling.

Now fabric softener
work great for regular clothing to keep them soft fresh and static free, But when you wash your wicking sports wear or towels you may want to add the Purex crystals and not the softer. Purex has come out with the answer in their fabric crystals. These great crystals freshen clothes and towels with out diminishing their ability to absorb moisture.

I was able to try this by receiving a Jockey sports Bra
and some purex crystals from purex insiders, In the awesome new scent of tropical Splash, I really pretty scent! Using the Purex crystals with you sports wear like Jockey will help the items stay fresh but also do the job they were intended to do by keeping you dry .

Jockey Makes an awesome line of work out wear and sports wear with Wicking properties and even a secret place to keep a house key. Unfortunately I received the wrong size Jog Bra and was not able to test the wicking abilities out to much because it was really tight. I am a 36 B, and because of the sizing chart I ordered a medium size . This will not work and I would need a large, and should have ordered that, but the medium was supposed to fit to a 38. I did not find this to be the case so be sure you order bigger,if you decide to give the bra a try. The medium felt like a small and I had real trouble getting it back off once it was on LOL.

I was able to read When the Soul Mends by Cindy Woodsmall, through blogging for books. This is the second novel in the set and its a really good book. I loved these 2 novels but this second one really has everything working out nicely. In the first novel their is a lot of tragedy and heartbreak. In When the Soul Mends, we get to see the characters grow up in both faith and love.
I just loved the whole story! I loved all the characters and the way that the story its self was extremely uplifting.

The story starts where it left of in the first book. Hanna has started a new life away from her old order Amish family. She is content in her new life but when she finds out that a tragedy occurred in her hometown she is compelled to return to the people and place she had run from.

Hannah refuses to let anyone intimidate her and her new found confidence and deeper faith help her through the many problems she finds when she returns.
This is truly a great story and I would encourage you to read the first book titled When the Heart Cries because it will give you the necessary background into Hannah's story.
When the Soul Mends shows us how even the wrong decisions will still work out the way the Lord wants it to and no matter how much we may mess thing us in our lives, God is still in charge and can fix it. This is a fantastic story of Faith, love, and forgiveness. I would and do recomend these books to anyone, they are fantastic reading .
