book review Breath of an angel by Karyn Henley

Breath of Angel (The Angeleon Circle)Breath of Angel by Karyn Henley

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In Breath of an angel we meet Melaia a young Priestess who has just witnessed a terrible murder in the temple courtyard, Shocked and doubting what she actually saw could a large hawk have really done this to this poor man and why.
As the story progresses Melaia finds herself sent off to court to play the harp for her lord. Melaia does not want to leave the safety of her temple but orders are orders. Before leaving Melaia finds out some of the old tales she has heard about all her life seem to have different endings and the myth of angels may not be myth after all. Finding herself in the middle of a feud between two Immortal brothers she finds refuge with a band of angels attempting to restore the stairway to heaven.
This is a Fiction Fantasy novel with everything a young adult reader would love, good vs bad angels shapeshifters, immortal humans and compelling mystery. Melaia finds out what her destiny is in all this and how she may be the only one who can restore whats been destroyed and save the world from a dark Malevolence.
I would recomend this to anyone who is interested in angels, fantasy, folklore or mysteries
